Map Editor Manual v.5.7.0

Your best friend of making maps.

Welcome to most complete unofficial map editor manual. This will help cover the basics in map making. If you feel like more is needed to be added into this manual, please send me a message on the Official PB2 Discord.

This manual is made for both Advanced level editor V1.4 or Old level editor V0.8, although we are more likely to focus on Advanced level editor. Since this manual is focusing on Multi-Player maps, most things relating with Single-Player is left out. However, some of the notes in here can help with Single-Player.

With Plazma Burst 2.5 going to receive a major update (see Eric Gurt's twitter account for more information), this manual will receive a lot of updates for future trigger system and layouts.

How to use this manual?

The current official level editor manual unfortunately falls short in terms of its comprehensiveness and accuracy. It's apparent that the manual is outdated and contains numerous inaccuracies.

Originally crafted by Charlies 5 lives, the manual's stewardship was later taken over by eaglePB2 (that's me, by the way). We've diligently worked on improving and expanding the manual over time.

Now, we're excited to present a fresh and more user-friendly version of the Plazma Burst 2 level editor manual. This update is in response to feedback from fellow map developers who found the PDF format difficult to navigate and requested an online alternative. Your wishes have been heard, and this online version is the result.

For those who hold a special place in their hearts for the older, PDF-based manual, you can still access the deprecated version (the last iteration overseen by Charlies 5 lives) through this manual. It's a chance to relive some nostalgia if you're so inclined.
